Equal Opportunities Commission Voted 5th in the Central Government Excellence Service Assessment FY 2020/21

The Equal Opportunities Commission has been voted 5th in the central government Excellence Service Assessment for Financial Year 2020/21 by the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MOFPED.

The awards to the excelling institutions were announced during National Budget Conference for the Financial Year 2023/24 budget strategy at the Kololo ceremonial grounds at a function presided over by the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja who represented the President.

The awards are in accordance with the programme based approach to planning and budgeting which mainly focuses on results that deliver change in the well-being of citizens.

 Public Service commission ranked first, while Uganda Prisons, Uganda Tourism Board and Masaka Referral Hospital came in second, third and fourth respectively.

EOC management and staff were delighted with the award, happy to receive recognition for their valiant efforts in fighting for  a just and fair country for our people.

The Commission will continue striving to do better, and keep fulfilling its mandate to create equal opportunities and end discrimination and marginalization.
