
MS. DENISE TUMUSIIME
MEMBER EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES COMMISSION
Ms. Tusiime Denise is a seasoned Human Rights practitioner with more than a decade of experience providing Humanitarian work. She has served on many Boards of various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Community-Based Organizations offering strategic leadership and guidance.
She has a passion for Children and Women’s Rights especially those that have suffered psychological trauma and societal stigma, she worked at Life Child Initiative Ministries and several other Non-Profit Organizations and networks. She is also committed to defending the rights of the minorities and underprivileged in Uganda.
She worked at AfriChild, an organization that undertakes multidisciplinary research, evidence-based knowledge building, skills development and influences policy and practice for the wellbeing of the African child.
She is currently a Member of the Equal Opportunities Commission having joined in 2019.
She is a graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Human Rights. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from Makerere University.
