The Equal Opportunities Commission today launched the 11TH ANNUAL REPORT ON THE STATE OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES IN UGANDA at the Sheraton Hotel.
At an event graced by Ministers, Members of Parliament, high-level staff from various MDAs and Local Governments as well as delegates from the Civil Society fraternity, the Report was launched by the Guest of Honour Hon. Betty Among, the Minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development.
She lauded the Commission for the insightful findings and urged the government to use the report as a referral basis when making future decisions.
Some of the key highlights from the report were the decline in compliance to gender and equity budgeting requirements, salary disparities, and the effect of corruption on service delivery.
