Mr. Ojuko Joel Cox

Mr. Ojuko Joel Cox is Member of the EOC representing the constituency of older Persons. Mr. Ojuko Joel Cox is a lawyer by profession and seasoned civil servant who has served with Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs on various positions of responsibility for a period spanning over 20 years before retiring early in 2010 to private legal practice. While in private legal practice he has continued to serve in various boards of government and private institutions. At the time of joining the EOC as member of the Commission he was a member of the board of governors of Arua regional referral hospital. While serving in Gulu as the Regional Head of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs at the peak of the insurgency, Mr. Ojuko extensively carried out human rights promotions among the vulnerable victims of war and provided timely litigation and legal advisory services to local authorities and other government institutions, consequently laying a firm foundation for the desired rule of law among the marginalized population of northern Uganda.

 As seasoned long serviced civil servant he will bring his rich experience on public administration and governance of institutions which the EOC is in dire need as it positions itself as “world class institution” in the words of the Secretary to the EOC during the launch of the EOC tribunal for Social Justice Way back on 25th March, 2014.
